An altogether professional and well delivered gig. Nine shows into the "Code Selfish" tour and the band are slick and tight. Interesting that this show has more about it than the seemingly laconic opening night at Nottingham ( officially released on Cog Sinister/Voiceprint).
It would be wrong to single out any one track in this performance. The band gels perfectly and Smith is clear, coherent and consistent. Odd snippet of "So what about it?"
I do get a sense of the transition between the band playing the "Code:Selfish" material and the work that would dominate "Infotainment". There is a palpable harder edge to the delivery of the songs and a shift towards a more intense and driven sound.
Highly recommended as a fine record of the band in 1992.
