This is dire in the extreme. An audience tape which is audible but only just. The sound is all over the place and generally the vocals sound like they were recorded in an echo chamber behind the back of the festival site. The crowd noise dominates and the band is extremely distant.
Due to the absurdly poor standard of the recording I own this is almost impossible to pass comment on.
Notably Julia Nagle is missing for this gig
The set list is dominated by material from the forthcoming "Unutterable". The material is generally played well but at times the band and the singer do not seem to be in the same place timing wise.
Of interest is the penultimate number which initially I found difficult to place in the Fall pantheon. It is a long dirge with chunky guitar noises swirling techno keyboards over which Mark seems to intone - "I plough the fields" - or something similar. Colleagues Fallophiles (thanks to Peter and Splart) have suggested that this is an iteration of "Hurricane Edward" aka "Interference" - its not clear whether this is DAT with drums, bass , guitar improv or Helal (possibly) is playing the keyboard.
Only obsessive collectors should track this recording this down.
