On the same day that "Renegade" arrived here at Repository Towers I am pleased to say I am listening to an appropriate sound track. The Fall live and in your face at the Corporation in Sheffield.

This is a very clear ambient audience capture with everything very clear - however Pete does tend to dominate in places and the vocals could be much louder/clearer - especially EP on "Duped". There's a real good sense of being at the heart of the gig.

There's a great line in "Renegade" Chapter 5 second paragraph "The Fall are about the present, and that's it". At the core of this gig is that simple concept. An enthusiastic crowd, a great band playing powerful and ever relevant music.

Interesting set list compared with the rest of the tour with the inclusion of a lengthy "What About Us" and the shorter version of "50 year old".

There is an absolutely superb version of "Tommy Shooter" here. Its a damn pity that the words are not more audible as this one of Smith's best readings of the song.

Not the best gig technically but a great sense of fun and enjoyment.
