The brilliant pair that taped this would have you believe that its a poor recording. Nonsense! This is pure wall of sound live recording at its best. An excellent audience recording from Andrew via Michael.

The late 2005 tour was beset with problems but this gig, is magnificent. Everything is taken at a breakneck pace and in places the band are wonderfully sloppy which adds to the charm of the gig. Most of "Fall Heads Roll" is given a good airing with a few old chestnuts turning up and being given a good thrashing.

"Ride Away" hits a level of skank not quite realised before mainly due to the pulsing drive from Ben and Spen. A couple of aposite dropped chords from Ben and squawling synth introduces a dense and penetrating "Blindness" which is wonderfully abrasive due to Elena's use of a fractured synth patch. Ben's light chords half way through are a perfect counterpoint to the wall of intense sound generated throughout this track. "Touch Sensitive" is taken at an insane pace, as is "Pacifying Joint". A stripped down opening of "Mountain Energei" still fast, but not as much as the preceding and the following, leads to a breathtaking guitar thrash from Pritchard.

An amazing version of "Big New Prinz" commences the encores. Deeply penetrating rhythm from Spen and Steve is cut by a raucous guitar sound on the main riff from Ben. Smith is distant but growling and the audience joins in ....... Smith says "Spencer we are observing you now..." and the song immediately morphs into "Open the Boxoctosis" at Ramones pace and with screechy/squiddly synth noises.

An essential gig with this band at the height of its powers.
