This is an excellent audience capture - there are some minimal audience distractions but nothing that detracts from the music. High quality recording. The first of two consecutive nights at the Clapham Grand. It would have cost you a mere £8.50 to purchase a ticket for this evenings entertainment.

Very clear, immaculately played but somewhat lacking in chutzpah. There is an aloof and lanquid laconic feel to much of Mark's delivery up to "Ladybird" where matters improve a little but there is a peculiar "going through the motions feel to this. I think my emnity arises from a serious lack of rough edges in the playing - even the usually masterful "Free Range" lacks the cutting edge that Craig delivers with those rising notes/chords.

Interestingly "Lost of Music" is comprised of Mark singing the tune but with a continuous spoken word tape running along side. "Strychnine" is an instrumental. "Bald Headed Men" is probably the best thing on the night. Something weird is going on during "It's a curse" as the audience chuckle along at something Mark says (inaudible) or does....

An odd one.
