Very clear audience recording from the Consortium. Guitar, drums, and Spurr bass very well presented, Rob is a bit distant and there is the occasional audience noise which adds to the sense of the gig apart from a noisy person during "Sparta" who doesn't seem to be able to sing in time with the band.

Starts with a slowish "Reformation" with MES not entering until 4.00 - blue mountains etc and welcomes are uttered. Interestingly in contrast a hyper-fast "Fall Sound" balances this out with some fleet hi-hat work from McCord.

Mark asks for a "normal" mix as opposed to a "Yorkshire Mix" before "Freaks" and then advises someone that they "picked the wrong shirt" before more space rock sounds during "My Door" where the overenthusiastic audience does the chorus early.

A very good "Wright Stuff" still has EP too low in the mix for liking - some exceptional drumming on this from McCord......loose and free. A short break and then a relatively short take on "Blindness"which is very sparse compared to later versions in this tour. A short gallop through a country and northern version of "White Lightning" leads to a mammoth "Systematic" introduced by the leader.

"Mountain Energie" is particularly bouncy and extremely well played. After this a quick huddle round the drum kit and the rather humorous statement "do we know any songs - 'What about us' - yeah we know that" from Mr Smith.

Excellent gig.
